Wine Spectator, one of the world’s leading authority on wine,has announced the Kumeu River Chardonnay Kumeu Estate 2012 has been named the #54 wine in this year’s list of the Top 100 Wines. The full list of the Top 100 Wines can be found online at http://2015.top100.winespectator.com.

The winning bottles were selected from a pool of more than 18,000 wines by Wine Spectator editors in the magazine’s independent blind tastings. Selections are based on four criteria: quality (represented by score), value (reflected by release price), availability (based on the number of cases made or imported into the U.S.) and what Wine Spectator calls the “X-factor”—or, in other words, the excitement generated by the wine.
